THE
LEARNING LOVE/CODEPENDENCY
TRAINING
A One Year Process Taught in Two Parts Each
of Seven Days
By Krishnananda (Thomas O. Trobe, MD) and Amana
(Gitte Demant Trobe)
This training teaches the basic elements of
The Learning Love Work/Co-Dependency Work.
It is an intense individual journey to help
people overcome any difficulties which prevent
them from bringing aliveness, joy and love into
their lives. It is also an opportunity to learn
how to teach and heal others with this work.
The training is designed for anyone who works
with people in various capacities - as
psychotherapists, social workers, doctors,
nurses, and body and energy workers and also
intended for anyone who has a specific interest
in deeply exploring him or herself.
Part 1: The First Seven Days
Section 1: Basic Principles of The Learning Love
Work
In this section, we explore the basic principles
of this work and what it means to love ourselves
and another person. We deal with the art of
learning presence, learning to listen and
learning the four aspects of healing – empathic
support, opening to vulnerability, building
aliveness and resources and developing insight.
Section 2: Exploring and Healing Our Wounded
Vulnerability
In this part, we deal directly with how to heal
from the wounds of shame and shock. These
wounds are carried in a deeply sensitive part of
us which feels, thinks and behaves like a
regressed child. When our wounds are not
healed, they have the effect to sabotaging our
life. We will be exploring these wounds in depth
and learn how they can heal.
Part 2 – The Second Seven Days
Section 1 : From Co-Dependency to Conscious Love
This section teaches the dynamics of
relationship and how to work with your own
relationship issues and those of others. It
teaches understanding for how our wounded inner
child sabotages our relating. Specifically, you
will be learning about resolving conflict,
setting appropriate limits, understanding the
stages of a love relationship, integrating
melting with separating and resolving bonding
patterns and negative contracts. In this section
we also look at sexuality in long term relating.
Section 2:
The
Qualities of Maturity - Applying the Work to
Everyday Life
This section teaches how we can bring the
understanding of
The Learning Love Work
to our everyday life. In particular, we will
be dealing in depth with “the five qualities of
maturity”. These are: witnessing,
responsibility, appreciation, clear intention
and risk.
This work teaches how to be with ourselves and
others in a way which is loving, respectful and
meditative because in our experience, these are
the qualities which bring love into our lives.
Our methods are gentle and nonconfrontive
because in our experience, this is the only way
to heal profoundly from whatever interferes with
our living life in the fullest and most loving
way possible.
Krishnananda (Thomas O. Trobe M.D.) and Amana (Gitte
Demant Trobe) bring a rich combination of
experience to the work. Krishnananda is trained
as a psychiatrist from Harvard and the
University of California and has also trained in
Gestalt, Bio-Energetics and Trauma Healing
Therapies. Amana is trained in Craniosacral
Bodywork, Color Puncture and Inner Child Work
but her greatest gift is that she is an
intuitive, able to read people’s energies and
sense the road to their healing.
